How Pronghorn Fitness Handles Your Data

We built Pronghorn Fitness to keep your training data private and under your control.

Your data stays on your device. Most processing — like analysing your workouts or calculating power — happens locally.

We sync securely. When you choose to back up or use multiple devices, your data is encrypted and stored safely on our servers.

You decide what to share. We'll only share data to connected services such as Strava or Garmin when you choose to do so.

We use trusted partners. Stripe handles payments, and Google Analytics helps us improve the app — both use strict data protection measures.

No ads, no selling your data. Ever.

You’re in control. You can delete your account at any time, which permanently removes your data from our servers.

For adults only. The app is for users aged 16 and over.

Pronghorn Fitness ("we", "our", "us") is developed and operated by Mizmoz Limited. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled securely and transparently. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under applicable privacy laws, including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

Data We Collect

We collect and store the following types of data:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password (encrypted).
  • Workout Data: Power, speed, cadence, heart rate, and other training metrics from your connected smart trainer and sensors.
  • Device Information: Operating system (Windows or macOS) and hardware connection data to support your training devices.
  • Location & Timezone Data: Used only within the app to adjust workout data; this information never leaves your device.
  • Analytics Data: Limited anonymous usage and crash data via Google Analytics.
  • Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe (we do not store your payment details).

 

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and maintain the Pronghorn Fitness app.
  • Sync your data across your devices and securely back it up.
  • Enable integrations you choose to connect (e.g., Strava, Garmin Connect).
  • Manage your account, subscriptions, and payments.
  • Improve app performance and user experience.
  • All workout data and processing occur primarily on your device. Only when you choose to sync or back up your account data is information transmitted securely to our servers.

 

Data Sharing

We only share data when necessary and under your control:

  • Strava & Garmin Connect: Only when you link your account; we share workout summaries and metrics you choose to upload.
  • Stripe: For processing payments and subscriptions.
  • Google Analytics: For anonymous usage statistics to improve app stability and performance.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your data with any third party.

 

5. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored locally on your device and synced securely to our servers for backup and multi-device access.

All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Access to your account data is restricted to authorised systems only.

 

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and associated data while your account remains active. When you delete your account, all associated data (including synced workout history) is permanently deleted from our servers. Local data stored on your device remains until manually removed.

Whilst currently users cannot export individual data sets, all data is stored on-device in a SQLite database and is accessible using common opensource tools.

 

Children’s Privacy

Pronghorn Fitness is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or process data from children.

 

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Withdraw consent to data processing (where applicable).
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
  • You can request account deletion or submit privacy inquiries by contacting support@mizmoz.com.

 

International Transfers

All user data is processed and stored within the UK and EU. If we transfer data outside these regions in the future, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
