Scheduling a workout
Workout types
Section titled “Workout types”There are two types of workouts available to schedule, Static and Generated.
Static workouts
Section titled “Static workouts”These are pre-defined, static workouts that you can access from the Library menu or by clicking the + button in the calendar.
Generated workouts
Section titled “Generated workouts”These are generated based on some pre-defined parameters and allow you to customise the workout to your own needs.
Workout parameters
Section titled “Workout parameters”Based on your selecting zones, the default available zones are: Recovery, Endurance, Tempo, Threshold, VO2 Max, Anaerobic, and Neuromuscular.
Interval type
Section titled “Interval type”This defines what types of intervals are generated:
Continuous
Section titled “Continuous”These are steady-state intervals at a fixed power.
These ramp up in power over the duration of the interval.
These start out hard and reduce in power over the duration of the interval.
Pyramid
Section titled “Pyramid”These start out easier, increase to a peak, then decrease back over the duration of the interval.
Reverse Pyramid
Section titled “Reverse Pyramid”These start out hard, decrease to a peak, then increase back over the duration of the interval.
Over Under
Section titled “Over Under”These alternate between higher and lower power over the duration of the interval.
Total Duration
Section titled “Total Duration”This is the total duration of the workout inclusive of the warm-up and cooldown phases. The amount of time spent on intervals is (Total Duration - Warm-up - Cooldown).
Warm-up
Section titled “Warm-up”The total duration of the warm-up phase.
Cooldown
Section titled “Cooldown”The total duration of the cooldown phase. This is the minimum duration of the cooldown phase and may be extended to ensure the correct intensity of the workout is maintained.
Intensity
Section titled “Intensity”The intensity of the workout. This is a value between 0 and 100.
This is used to calculate the length and intensity of the intervals.
